Apple Vision Pro, Claude API, and a Navigator in the LLM World — Top AI News of the Week
Our latest AI Digest covers the biggest breaking AI news of the week. Anywhere Club community leader, Viktar Shalenchanka, comments on key stories.
#1 — Apple Vision Pro
The first major AI news item of the week is only indirectly related to AI: Apple has successfully started selling its Vision Pro MR headset. Judging by the first reviews, the device has its drawbacks. The image quality, as well as the location of content windows, however, are impressive and significantly surpass competitors — all thanks to AI technologies and a neural processor under the hood. Whether the device will be popular is an open question, but the "Apple effect" can already be seen: people wearing the Vision Pro glasses (or a helmet?) are already on the streets (and, in some viral video clips, apparently driving Teslas). It looks like cyberpunk is lurking around the corner.
#2 — Launch of Claude API from Anthropic
The second newsbreak is directly related to AI. Anthropic, the AI company that developed the bot named Claude (a competitor of ChatGPT), announced the launch of an API. So far, it’s available to a limited number of users only through Early Access, but anyone can apply. This means OpenAI's API is about to face a worthy competitor, which we’ve all been waiting for (although we haven't seen the prices yet…).
